If you have installed a new Cannondale Wheel Sensor on your bike because of the Reese's Law redesign in 2024-2025, or for any other reason, then you will likely need to take some steps to make changes in the Cannondale app.
Remove Previous Wheel Sensor
If the Garage screen for your bike in the app still shows the wheel sensor that was previously assigned to your bike, first remove it:
- In Garage, tap into the Wheel Sensor box
- Scroll down and tap "Remove device"
- Choose "Delete"
Add New Wheel Sensor
Now add your newly installed wheel sensor to the bike in the app:
- In the Garage screen for the bike, tap "Add a Device"
- Select "Cannondale Wheel Sensor"
- Follow the instructions to spin your wheel and add the wheel sensor
- If prompted, set your wheel and tire size appropriately. See: How to determine your wheel size and tire width for the Cannondale App
If a SmartSense Bike, Setup 'Auto Wake'
If you have a SmartSense equipped bike (many Synapse Carbons and Topstone Carbons) you may also now want to program your SmartSense system to be automatically turned on when your wheels start spinning. This is the "Wheel Sensor Auto Wake" function. To do that:
- After completing the steps above to remove the old wheel sensor and add the new one, then...
- Follow the instructions here to set up Wheel Sensor Auto Wake with the new wheel sensor. See steps 7-11 here: Auto Wake feature does not work
