There are a few steps you can try if you have trouble pairing your speed sensor to your bike.
- Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
- Disable (temporarily) Bluetooth on other devices, or power off other Bluetooth enabled devices (other phones, PC's, tablets, cycling computers, fitness watches, etc.)
- Confirm that the Speed Sensor is activating.
- If the wheel has just been rotated, wait 10 minutes with no wheel movement for the sensor to go to sleep.
- Spin the wheel continuously for up to 60 seconds until you see the LED lights
- You should then see the LED on the back of the sensor flash red once, and then flash green for 5 seconds.
- If you do not see the sensor LED flashing you may need to reset the sensor or replace the battery. Details can be found here.
- Try resetting the Bluetooth on your phone. This can be done by placing your device into airplane mode for a few seconds and then back out of airplane mode.
- Verify you have given the Cannondale App required Location and Bluetooth permissions:
- iOS
- Settings > Privacy > Location Services (On) > Cannondale > Always
(Note: "While Using the App" is not sufficient) - Settings > Privacy > Bluetooth > Cannondale > allowed (on)
- Settings > Privacy > Location Services (On) > Cannondale > Always
- Android
- Settings > Apps & notifications > Cannondale > Permissions > Location > Allow all the Time

- Force close and restart the Cannondale App

- On an iPhone X or later or an iPad with iOS 12, from the Home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause slightly in the middle of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, double-click the Home button to show your most recently used apps
- Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to Force Quit the app
- Briefly open any other app on your phone
- Open the Cannondale App to restart
- Android
- Open Settings app
- Select Apps and Notifications
- Select App info
- Find the Cannondale App and select it
- Select Force Stop
- Select OK
- Open the Cannondale App to restart
