Cannondale App v4.2.0 introduces Connected Apps. Now you have control over importing new rides from Garmin Connect into the Cannondale App.
Before you continue, make sure you have the latest version of the Cannondale App.
Navigate to Settings in the Cannondale App by tapping on the cog wheel, open Connected Apps.
Garmin Connect Setup
To import your rides from Garmin Connect:
- Open Garmin Connect in the Connected Apps screen
- Turn on Import Rides from Garmin Connect
- Sign in using your Garmin Connect credentials
- Ensure “Data shared from Garmin Connect to the Cannondale App” is turned on
- Save
- You are connected - Cycling activities from Garmin Connect will get pushed to the Cannondale App automatically and appear in your Activities list. Only new rides finished after you enable the feature will be imported.
Import Indoor Rides
If you turn off Import Indoor Rides, rides that are categorized as indoor or virtual rides in Apple Health will not be imported to your Cannondale App activities.
Choosing a Default Bike for Imported Garmin Connect Rides
Imported rides will be assigned to a bike in your Cannondale Garage. If you have more than one bike, you can change the default bike at any time or edit the bike later in individual rides.
Need to add a bike? Go to the Cannondale Garage.
Garmin Advanced Bike Assignment
Garmin rides can be automatically assigned to bikes in your Cannondale Garage using Garmin Activity Profiles or Wheel Sensors connected to your Garmin device.
Garmin rides have an Activity Profile that can be selected before you record your ride on your Garmin Device (for example: Road, Mountain, Indoor or Commute). When a new Garmin ride is imported into the app, we read the Profile and can automatically assign it to a specific bike in your Cannondale Garage using Advanced Bike Assignment.
For the Advanced Bike Assignment feature to appear in the Cannondale App, you must have more than one bike in Cannondale Garage and you must have imported more than one ride from Garmin with more than one Activity Profile. Once the feature is available, you can match Profiles with the bikes in your Garage.
Rides can also be automatically assigned to bikes in your Cannondale Garage via the Wheel Sensor. You will need to connect the Wheel Sensor directly to your Garmin device (via Bluetooth or ANT+), and then the Cannondale App can read the Wheel Sensor name when we import your ride. (Important: If you’d like to pair your Wheel Sensor with your Garmin device, please make sure your Wheel Sensor has the latest firmware.) If you have imported more than one ride, with more than one Wheel Sensor, you will be able to see Wheel Sensors in the bike assignment page, and can assign a specific Wheel Sensor to a bike in your Cannondale Garage.
Garmin Advanced Bike Assignment Setup
- Open Settings → Connected Apps → Garmin Connect
- Tap Advanced Bike Assignment
- Tap Use Default Bike next to a Profile or Wheel Sensor, to open the menu to choose and assign a bike from your Cannondale Garage
- New rides imported from Garmin Connect will be saved in the Cannondale App and have the selected bike assigned to them
FAQ
How do I know if my ride successfully synced from my Garmin account to the Cannondale App?
You will receive a Cannondale App notification to tell you that a new activity has been imported from Garmin.
If you aren’t receiving notifications and would like to be notified when new rides are imported, check your phone’s notification settings to ensure notifications for the Cannondale App are turned on.
I received a notification that a new activity was imported into the Cannondale App but I don’t see it in my activities.
If you think you are missing a ride after an import, it may have been combined with another ride because of overlapping ride times.
The data for the individual rides that were combined are still available in the Cannondale App by changing Ride Source.

Why can’t I find my ride from Garmin Connect in the Cannondale App?
Make sure your connection to Garmin Connect is turned on in Cannondale App’s Settings → Connected Apps.
If this connection is already turned on, the ride import into the Cannondale App may still be processing. Once it is processed, it can be found in the Activity screen with your other rides.
If the Cannondale App has multiple rides saved or imported with overlapping dates and times, the overlapping rides will be combined into a single ride.
