Ride Screen: Simplified Look and Speedometer
The Cannondale App v5.0 includes an improved ride screen that features a simplified speedometer display. This updated screen makes it easier than ever to track your speed and other important ride data while you're cycling.
To access the ride screen, simply navigate to the ride screen and start a ride. You'll notice that the screen is now less cluttered and easier to read, with a focus on the most important information - your speed. You can also customize the data fields that appear on the ride screen to suit your preferences.
Ride Data Page: Track Your Ride Progress
The Ride Data Page allows you to easily view your ride progress and customize the ride data during your ride.
You can choose which fields to display, and in what order, to suit your preferences and make it easier to track your progress.
To access the Ride Data Page, simply start a ride in the app and swipe right.
From there, long press on the data field you’d like to change. You can choose from a range of data fields, including speed, moving time, distance, ascent, calories, average speed, and max speed.
Map Page: Explore New Routes
The Cannondale app's map view is a great way to keep track of your ride progress and explore new routes.
The Map Page displays your ride on a map in real-time as you cycle. The Map Page has a few features that make it flexible to your preferences including fullscreen mode, north orientation toggle, and satellite map view.
We've also included a red trail so as you cycle, the app tracks your progress and leaves a red trail behind you on the map. This allows you to see the route you've taken, makes it easier to find your way home, and tracks your progress during your ride.
To access the Map Page, swipe to the left after you start your ride on the ride screen.
Landscape Mode: Sideways Phone Mount Support
If your bike's phone mount is capable of being mounted sideways the Cannondale App has you covered with landscape mode.
To switch to landscape mode, simply rotate your phone and the ride screen will adjust automatically. You can switch back to portrait mode by rotating your phone again. Please note that landscape mode is only available if your phone supports it.

Connected Island: Manage Your Connected Devices
The Connected Island allows you to manage all of the connected devices assigned to your bike, such as the SmartSense Radar, lights, and wheel sensor.
The Connected Island provides easy access to settings for these devices and displays icons to indicate the state of the devices.
To access the Connected Island make sure your SmartSense, radar, lights, and/or wheel sensor are added to your bike in the Cannondale Garage and connected via Bluetooth. The Connected Island appears on the Ride Screen, Ride Data Page, and the Map Page.
To access connected device settings, simply tap on the connected devices icon in the ride screen. From there, you can view the status of your connected devices, adjust settings, and access other useful information.
Dark Mode: Improved Battery Performance & Visibility for Night Riders
The dark mode option for the ride screen makes it easier to view your ride data at night or in low-light conditions.
To enable dark mode, simply tap the settings icon on the ride screen, then select "Dark Mode."
The screen will automatically adjust to the new color scheme, making it easier to view your ride data in low-light conditions.
We recommend using Dark mode at all times since in most cases it will consume less of your phone’s battery. Actual battery savings may vary depending on the phone model and usage.
Radar Support: How to Use Garmin Varia Radars with the Cannondale App
The Cannondale App supports Garmin Varia Radar models via Bluetooth (including RVR315, RTL515, RCT715, eRTL615).
This means that you can now use these radars with the app to enhance your riding experience and stay safer on the road.
To use a radar with the Cannondale App, turn on your radar and go to your Cannondale Garage and tap “Add Device”. The app will detect your radar via Bluetooth. You can then access settings and data for the radar after it’s connected in the Cannondale Garage or through the ride screen by tapping on the radar icon.
