At Cannondale, we’re always pushing the boundaries of bike design to deliver the best ride possible. One innovation that sparks curiosity among riders is the Delta Steerer: a unique feature found on select Cannondale bikes.
The Delta Steerer is a specifically shaped steerer tube - the part of the fork that connects to the frame through the headset . Unlike traditional round steerers, the Delta Steerer has a triangular profile.
This design offers:
- Improved stiffness: Resists flex under braking and cornering for precise, confident handling.
- Weight savings: Optimized material layout reduces weight without compromising strength.
- Sleek aesthetics: Enables internal cable routing and a flush fit for a clean, integrated look.
Which Bikes Feature the Delta Steerer?
You’ll find the Delta Steerer on:
- SuperSix EVO SE/CX (2023) – 2 models
- SuperSix EVO (Generation 4)
- Synapse Neo Carbon and Tesoro Neo Carbon (Tesoro Carbon 1 only; Tesoro Carbon 2 uses a round steerer and external routing) – 2024
- SuperX – 2025
- Synapse – 2025
These models are designed for maximum integration of cables and brake hoses, performance, and aerodynamic efficiency.
Important Compatibility Notes
Because of its unique shape, the Delta Steerer requires specific components:
- Expander and headset: We recommend Cannondale factory options—either the Conceal Stem with a matching handlebar or the one-piece SystemBar.
-
Aftermarket stems: You can still use traditional 31.8 mm stems, but you’ll need the correct filler pieces and expander:
- SystemBar: Filler Pieces L+R (PN K3508310) and Expander (PN K35063)
- Conceal: Filler Pieces L+R (PN K3507310) and Expander (PN K35051)
